Wellflower Counselling

Welcome, I am so glad you are here!

I am Katelyn, MSW, RSW,

an experienced and compassionate ADHD and Trauma Specialist devoted to neurodivergent affirming, collaborative, attuned, relational, and anti-colonial mental health care.

Specialization

Together using curiosity and compassion, we can explore difficult experiences and emotions to uncover pathways to understanding, comfort, safety, and ultimately self love. My therapeutic practice specializes in adult and children’s mental health, ADHD, Highly Sensitivity, Sensory Processing, trauma, grief, suicidality and self harm, crisis intervention, anxiety and depression.

Throughout my academic and professional career I have focused my work on social justice, human rights, and health rights access, especially in regards to women, 2SLGBTQIA+ peoples, and the Disability community. I am particularity interested in supporting birthing individuals, caregivers, and families through the various transitions that follow the important shift we experience from being pregnant, to being a parent.

My trauma work and my grief work are closely intertwined. In my experience, grief and trauma work requires cautious and mindful tending, releasing, and integrating. This process is not linear, but by noticing the relationship these experiences have to one another, we can begin to shift and change the impact these forces have on our internal and external lives.

Through the power of genuine care, kindness, and compassion, together we can create an effective and strong therapeutic space to explore difficult emotions and experiences, and move forward with positive change, comfort, and hope.
